ill ramble abt the tracks of my second album, its like huge so if youre reading this youre in for a ride! and a musical one at that :D
intro is 3xosc, i meant 2 add automation btu somewhere across the line fl studio nuked it. :// still pissed off abt it
backing synths are like sgm patches, like fantasia n synth calliope. synth calliope has tremolo.
electric piano thing is from thfont.
3xosc noise setting used as a drum equiv.
yume nikki music-box is there as well. :3 I LOVE YUME NIKKI!!!
intro is 3xosc, i meant 2 add automation btu somewhere across the line fl studio nuked it. :// still pissed off abt it <-- yes exact same thing happened
other synth is also 3xosc.
bitcrushed drums are back!!
pianer is from sgm and has a shit ton of modulation because i like how that sounds.
fantasia arpeggio is from sgm.
big scary synth is from a stock plugin, styrus i think? can't really recall.
intro is a soundfont patch w/ a shitton of effects, whole track as a whole has like a bunch of weird shit that sounds really nice. this whole album was just me experimenting to be honest. specially with this track but also with others i treated them like they were retakes of earlier tracks and demos i had made. it's really interesting to think about this album specially since i outgrew some techniques used on it but it's still incredibly innovative compared to my earlier shit. not that any of it was bad but i find that this album broke a paradigm so to speak.
piano is the same from the first track but fucked with in the same way as the synth.
theres a 3xosc 'bass' that is just a triangle wave.
another 3xosc synth shows up l8r on and its more as a pre-lead than the actual lead.
actual lead is styrus as well, with quirky automation on it so it wouldn't be bland. a lot of the creative decisions in this album were taken to make sure this album wasn't bland. i really don't want to make bland music. i'd rather make bad than bland.
the drums are not bitcrushed and are really neat. love how i made them sound.
more styrus automation. \(@^0^@)/
who doesn't love the ending w/ the vocal sample?
intro is a soundfont patch, again!
synth that slowly fades is like 3xosc, i guess.
pizzicato strings used as bass. :3
sytrus as lead with crazy automtion, what else is new?
drums are also neat here.
3xosc as main lead.
...the rainbow became very careful, and decided to never again to touch the ground.
So now, although one may wish to, no one will ever be able to reach either of the ends of the rainbow.
heavy flanger on the entirety of the track. mostly because i wanted to experiment with less traditional effects.
strings are from the super mario 64 soundfont.
3xosc and sgm piano r there somewhere idfk
drums r from a stock plugin from fl studio
voices r from a rolaids 'how do u spell relief' ad
fantasia arpeggio once again!!!!!!!! whose shocked?
some gay instrument shows up l8r on idk what it is either
a return to the traditional 'sgm synth with effects' opening. this track was more like a breather since last one was so different.
pre-drum synths are 3xosc and styrus respectively.
the drums here are also lovely.
im actually not really sure what the fuck is up with the more quiet lead before the second styrus one. if anyone can identify it ill give u nthing but ull feel cool af so theres that.
opening is a homage to Intro from Aretaloger and Pretty Thing from Para Variar, both opening synths are 3xosc ones but heavily filtered a lá most other tracks in this album.
fantasia arpeggios are a constant. alike death and taxes if u will.
drums r da same as the ones from relief but less chaotic evil.
scary ringing bass is from styrus.
the layering of the main synth with a square wave is a homage to Jardim from Para Variar.
piano is a homage to everything ever. i love pianos.
outro. theres no hoamge ij ust love the outro.
opening synth is a soundfont patch and more like a callback to the opening. except the second instrument is already styrus and being used as a bass.
main synth is my favorite 3xosc patch so far in my musical career. it's backed really subtly by piano but it adds to it.
bossa drums. (╹ڡ╹ )
i tried making the last styrus synth sound like a meow but it just sounds cooler and not like a meow at all. which is a win in my books.
second favorite track in my discography.
...look at that! Everywhere we look, it's like there's different branching paths!
synth calliope with fucked up tremolo opening, because love wins. (@^0^)
fantasia marking the chords, because who doesn't love chord outlining?
a remarkably similar synth to last track's shows up. this is notably because i fucking love that synth.
theres some neat bass work in this track.
who doesnt love the backing piano melody? because i do!
outro part where the opening synth becomes clearer with the piano is just... chefs kiss man.
favorite track of my discography.
same synth shows up here for like the third track in a row.
bass is styrus; fucked up synth is styrus; everything is styrus.
really quick piano is notably not styrus. still awesome.
fucked up synth is styrus. the gay electric piano isn't so shit's even.
drums r mean. o(≧口≦)o
One! Two! Three! Four! Once again...
same synth shows up here for like the fourth track in a row.
some fucked up soundfont synth makes an appearance here. fantasia arpeggios also show up theyre awesome here. everythigns awesome. love wins.
that one guitar preset from a few albums ago is back. and it sucks slightly less since i added all these cool effects to it and also styrus bass that can make anything good.
styrus synth as opening, how bizarre!
styrus bass, how ordinary!
fantasia arpeggio, how ordinary!
love the way the piano and drums lie over the tracks here. it's like they were missing all this time.
saxs nice i guess.
piano opening that sets up the rhythm and tonality, really neat stuff.
that one synth that was everywhere a few tracks ago is back. hope u dont mind it.
backing synth is fantasia.
scary bass is styrus as always.
drums and sax are neat. really change the whole mood of track even theyre pretty minor.
Dear mother, I'm feeling well and hope to hear the same from you...
